Are you still in your jammies?
Yesterday, while driving my kids to their cousins to play, Tanner says, "Mom, are you still in your jammies?" I replied, "Yes, we were busy cleaning all morning and I didn't get a chance to shower yet." Tanner said, "When you pick us up I really hope you have your regular clothes on. It is a little embarrassing to have anyone in my family not dressed and it is almost lunch time!" I guess Tanner is getting to the age where kids start to get embarrassed by their parents! I was showered and dressed when I picked the boys up!

Theater Camp
Last week Tanner went to Theater Camp. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like, but when I found out it was ALL BROADWAY MUSICALS, I wanted to take Tanner's place at the camp! (A Broadway star is my dream job-too bad I can't carry a note!) On Friday the kids performed 4 Broadway songs. It was so cute to watch and Tanner LOVED it! He sang Seasons of Love, I won't Grow Up, and a medley from Bye Bye Birdie. He did a pretty good job singing or dancing, although he could work on doing both at the same time! It was fun to watch and we are planning to sign him up for another theater class for school this upcoming year.

Go Rockets!
Tanner played in our city's summer basketball league. This is the first sports team he really liked! He was pretty good in practice and wanted to have his technique just right. When it came to games, he still would take his time to pass the ball correctly and dribble, which meant he just didn't get the ball all that much. But, he didn't seem to care. He had a GREAT coach which made it a very good experience for us all!

Of course the best part of playing on a team is the pizza party after the last game!

Happy Fouth of July
We celebrated the Fourth of July with a BBQ and fireworks show at Mike and Maquels. We've been doing this since Tanner was about one! They have a view of the valley from their backyard so we get quite a show!

Jace put on the firework show and did a great job-luckily no one got hurt!

Tanner was Jace's assistant in helping him decide what to blow up next. He now knows more about fireworks than I do.
These two had a great time cheering and jumping every time fireworks went off. Hunter and Carson are best buds.
