Happy Birthday Hunter Bear!

Hunter turned 13!  Another teenage boy in the house!  He has been asking for a snake for a long time, did lots of research on it, and loves visiting our local nature center to visit the snakes.  So, we decided he is such a good kid, he deserves something he really wants.  Meet Tracker, a baby sand boa.

We had our family birthday party with all these handsome birthday guys...

Hunter has recently shown interest in basketball and "working out",

loves his grandparents,
is a straight A student with a fondness for science, enjoys laughing with his many friends, loves all things Star Wars and Marvel, plays piano and sings in choir, and is an avid scripture reader!  We love Hunter so much and look forward to his teenage years!

Annual Fair Field Trip

We made it to the LA County Fair for the 11th year in a row!  It was a beautiful day for the Fair with Friends!  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

da Vinci at Reagan Library

The Ronald Reagan Library had a traveling da Vinci exhibit.  We had to hit it up before it left since it went so well with our theme!  And really, no school year is complete without a visit to the Reagan Library!

I think Felicity's favroite part was going to the park and playing afterwards...

This has nothing to do with the field trip, but Hunter has become quite the Renaissance Man this semester with his STEM class.  Here is his project showing density.  He has really enjoyed this class!

Knights of Light 2019-2020 School Year

A new School Year has begun!  We started off the year by heading to UT to celebrate our theme for 2019-2020:  Knights of Light.  A study of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.  We rented a house with our favorite homeschoolers and took advantage of all things Middle Ages in the Utah Valley!

Princess Dresses...

Fencing Class...

Ax Throwing...

King Arthur paid us a visit...

Medieval Feast...

Lots of push-ups and planking were taking place when older kids were supposed to be working on their school assignments...

Princess and Knight School for the littles...

The 8-12 year olds spent 2 days at a Knight/Princess Training put on by a large homeschool organization in UT.  They had a great time.  The older boys got to escort the girls at the final ceremony...

Hunter had a hard time with bloody noses while he was there, so he looks a bit beat up!

Beautiful Princesses! One was more concerned with learning to do archery than wearing a princess dress...

The older kids did a Medieval Escape Room one night...

A few of my favorite people!

Sunday church with the C Family before we headed home...

What a great start to a fun theme!  I am so grateful for these wonderful people that we have worked with for so many years!
