June/July Catch Up

JUNE

June was kind of rough!  Over the course of the month, Hunter was dealing with his foot injury from May.  First, diagnosed as a sprain, then a ligament tear, then a broken bone, and finally a cartilage injury.  A podiatrist friend from church, who eventually got us an MRI, finally got us the correct diagnosis.  So Hunter was wearing this boot for 6 weeks which actually was doing more harm than good.  Glad to be out of the boot.  Sad that it can only be fixed through surgery that he can't have yet because it would effect growth.  So, we are keeping an eye on it and hoping for the best!

Also, we ended up getting the flu and were knocked out for a few weeks!  I've never been that sick- for that long-before.  Charity even ended up with pneumonia.  We all tested negative for Covid.  The doctor said the flu was coming out hard in the summer because of all the lockdowns and mask wearing it didn't travel around like normal.  And, since the flu was non existent for a few years, no one really had antibodies.  So it knocked us out!  The girls and I were probably the worst, but Hunter and Ladd got it too.  Oh, and our upstairs air was out the whole time we were sick.  As soon as we were better, we got it fixed and that cost a pretty penny!

We slept a lot,

watched plenty of movies,

and got to talk with our favorite missionary...

Once we were feeling better, we were finally able to take Charity out for her birthday dinner to RainForest Cafe...

And wear her new birthday dress to church...

Felicity and Addy got called up to "help" with the lesson in Primary.  Cutest Cousins 😍

Swimming with her "bestie" Harper...

JULY

I feel like we finally got to start enjoying the Freedom of summer in July.  June was too gloomy at our house!  We went up to Big Bear for a few days over the Fourth.

Charity came prepared with Patriotic Nails!

We visited the new zoo, (the 3 legged bear was the highlight!)

We had a great lunch, hiked around the cabin, swam in the spa, and watched the fireworks over the lake.  It was a great little getaway and we managed to do a good job avoiding the holiday crowds!

Hunter got to go to FSY at University of Redlands.  He roomed with cousin Brayden and got to hang out with kids from the ward.  He had a great time.

While Hunter was gone, we got some girl time in! We got to spend some time swimming at Grandmas...

and Grandpas...

And a few trips to get ice cream...

Felicity has decided dad is a really good cuddle...

Felicity is taking a yoga class over the summer at my studio and loves it!  "It's so relaxing" 😉

On to the last few weeks of summer....
