Golf Tournament Number 2

Tanner had his second golf tournament on Saturday. It was a cold day for golf-but it seems like all the kids still had fun!
Tanner's Foursome with their coach

We are so proud of Tanner-he tied for third place with a score of 30! His division only plays 5 holes, hence the score of 30. He has been practicing his golf swing and putting in the backyard everyday for the last few months and apparently it paid off! Since it was a tie and there was only one third place trophy for his division, they had a "card off". The kid who got the best hole first wins. The other kid got the best hole first, so Tanner did not go home with the trophy. But, he seemed pretty satisfied with the donut we got for him on the way home. To him, a donut beats a trophy anyday!

It was a good day for Tanner and I am glad his practice paid off!

My pride and joy...

Tanner

Tanner has been so self motivated this whole school year. He wakes up each morning, gets dressed, does all of his independent work like math review, calendar, piano practice, Rosetta Stone Spanish lesson, his morning chores, and reading without my EVER having to ask him. He learned that it makes the rest of the day go much smoother and he gets more playtime when all of this work is done up front. He is amazing and I am so grateful for his great work ethic.

Hunter

This little one lights up my life each day. "Mom, you are so beautiful" or "I love you, cutie pie" are phrases he will often say out of blue. Often accompanied by a hug around the leg or a kiss to my ever growing belly. He had a really long doctors appointment (just a check up) this week and he was so good. Lots of shots and blood drawn and waiting around involved and not a single tear. Such a brave boy. Here he is swinging (he can pump himself now with a good starter push!), one of his favorite activities.

My sweet boy

Hunter was being really quiet this afternoon, so I went upstairs to look for him. This is what I found:
He was fast asleep in my bed!

Pregnancy Update

I haven't blogged much about this pregnancy so here it goes:

How baby is doing:
As far as we can tell, the baby is doing great and I can feel her dancing early in the mornings and late at night. I hope this is not a sign of when she will have her "wakeful" times once she gets here! She is not nearly as active as the boys were and am hoping this is a sign of things to come! We are naming her Charity Ann and the boys refer to her as Charity all the time. Charity because we think it is cute and hope she will develop that quality throughout her life, and Ann after one of the best Grandma's in the world, Ruth Ann. My C-section is scheduled for June 16. This will be my third C-section, but my first planned one. I really don't like being cut open and dealing with all that, but it is nice to know when we will have a baby! Currently we have a Hoyal-look-alike and a Cook look-alike, so we are very curious to see what this third one looks like!

How her mama is doing:

This has been my least favorite pregnancy. Nothing major, just inconveniences that are not fun. I don't know if it is because I am getting older, or because it is a girl. I was nauseous off and on with the boys the whole pregnancy, but this one has been worse. It is tapering off a bit though as time goes by, so I am grateful for that. I also developed a pinched nerve in my left leg. For about a month walking was quite painful and by about 5pm I was done for the day and could hardly move. I kept trying to do Yoga and water aerobics, as I thought a little exercise would help. But, it has gotten a lot better this last week since I stopped all exercise and try to limit what I do as much as possible. So, I am a lazy bum but at least I am not in as much pain anymore! I am already planning my workout plans after I have recovered from my c-section as I know I am going to need it! I have definitely gained some womanly curves that I never had with the other two, even while nursing! With every pregnancy I get a lovely pregnancy mask. Tanner's was barely visible, Hunter's was really bad (on my upper lip and eyebrows), and this time it is on spots on my cheeks and forehead. I look like a leopard. (Hence the reason I do not keep a photo journal of my pregnancies!) I haven't really been craving any food, other than juice, but even the thought of pizza makes me want to throw up! I am sleeping really well right now and hope that continues for a few more months!

So there you have it, my pregnancy in a nutshell!

Are you serious?

All within a few weeks time, we have a leaky shower, a laptop that won't connect to the internet anymore, a copier that has just been making fat black lines through the paper, three tiles on our kitchen island decided to crack and then pop off, leaving behind a beautiful chunk of cement, and a few broken sprinklers. All week I've been feeling like our house is falling apart and then I walked into the kitchen tonight and our somewhat new dishwasher was making an atrociously loud grinding noise! I checked and couldn't find any culprit behind this noise, so who knows what the problem is. So much for a new van to fit our third child in!
