We took a field trip to visit Independence Hall replica at Knotts Berry Farm. We had a great tour guide who was happy that we were Christians who loved our country! We got to meet Abigail Adams, learn about the honesty button that the original members of congress would touch before going into meetings, and the story of the flag. Unfortunately Ben Franklin had car trouble and couldn't make it and the program that goes through the signing of the Declaration was broken, so a little disappointing but still well worth it!
We got to spend the rest of the day at Knott's. Everyone was happy as could be with plenty of friends to hang out with!
This amazing group of moms even gathered for a quick meeting to discuss our plans for school next year. We used to spend a whole weekend writing it all out, and we have gotten to the point where we can get the basics figured out while waiting for kids on a roller coaster! We've mastered the art of homeschooling!
