Christmas Traditions 2024

We kicked off the season with a trip to Riley's Farm for a Christmas Carol.  Always a fun time!

These three cuties sang at the Stake Musical Fireside and ran a little wild afterwards-not uncommon for stake events when these three see each other at church!

We joined my cousins for IPBs performance of Nutcracker.  I hadn't been to their "real" performance of it for years (just the school performance) and it was so good! The guest dancers were on Pointe ;)

It was fun to have my cousins there and think about when we used to go together to support Monica in this performance!

Our stake participated in the Fontana Christmas Parade with our "Light the World" float, a fun time as usual!

Charity had a cute Christmas Party at Sis Smiths with her friends from church!

And of course Christmas would not be complete without our Cook family Christmas Eve Party!

We were missing Patrick and Leto- dumb work!

Charity got this GIANT Hershey kiss from her gymnastics holiday party-she was happy to share it with everyone on Christmas Eve!

And of course, Christmas morning with spoiled children....

Attitude of Gratitude

The M Family came to visit for the week of Thanksgiving and Felicity was in heaven playing with Lyla and Mylie, 24-7! and we were all in heaven having baby Kodee around for a little while!  18 months old are exhausting but so adorable!

And we had a super fun Friendsgiving dinner and gift exchange at Young Women's!

California History

We spent some time in November discovering CA history...

We went to the Cube Museum in Santa Ana (mostly because Hunter need to take kids to a science museum for extra credit in one of his classes) but we connected the Earthquake sections to our CA history unit.  We had a great time and I realized I went there all the time when the boys were little but the girls had very little memory of it! It was a beautiful day and a fun last minute field trip!

 

After reading some books about CA missions and doing some mission inspired art, we decided it was time to San Juan Capistrano Mission.  It is beautiful there and we had an amazing Mexican dinner afterwards.

We finished up our CA history unit by attending Knott's Berry Farm CA History Field Trip day with friends.  We learned a lot and got to spend the remainder of the day exploring the park.

This sweet lady who taught us how the early California pioneers made clothing was named Felicity.  So our Felicity and friends had to get a picture with her!
