Last week...

Along with state testing, last week Tanner had a
Science Fair
for his weekly science class.  His project was Produce Power-which produce will conduct electricity?  He did a great job presenting his project.  He did his display all by himself and wanted no help from his mom.  It looked like a third grade boy did it and he was so proud of it!

We also spent a morning at
The John Rains House
in Rancho Cucamonga.  It was a perfect field trip (practically free and educational) and the tour guide, who is also a Homeschooling mom, was great with the kids.  It was fun to see this little history gem just around the corner from where I grew up!

Stop, Drop, Roll!

The cub scouts went to the Fire Station!  The firefighters did such a great job with the kids.  They showed them how there station is just like their house with a kitchen, bedroom, workout room, living room, etc.  We got to learn all about the workings of the fire trucks and the kids even got to spray the fire hose!  Of course, I went to take pictures and my camera read "No memory card".  I had left it in the computer!  Ugh!  But, my camera did let me take a few pictures.  The lucky county of San Bernardino Fire Department received a beam from the World Trade Center, which was pretty cool.  And lucky for us, it is stored at our Fire Station until it is moved to a more permanent location somewhere more public.

Thank you Fire Fighters for all that you do!

Overwhelmed

Between school, driving kids all over to their weekly classes, watching over a crawling and curious baby who hasn't been sleeping well, book club, cub scouts, dealing with a dinosaur of a computer that desperately needs to be replaced, and all the other demands on this mommy, my blog has been on the back burner. I have been a bit overwhelmed to say the least. But, we have squeezed in a few fun things that I actually got pictures of:

Snow at our house!
Thanks Sam for sharing your Crestline fun with us!

Natural History Museum of LA with some of our favorite friends!

This cutie discovers the wonder of grass!

Tornado
Book Club with our friend "Flat Simeon".
Tanner's pen pal in Idaho sent this to us after his class read Flat Stanley. Tanner was sooo excited to get this in the mail! Thanks Simeon!

LA Temple Visitors Center
We hadn't been to the LA Temple Visitors Center since they redid it and it was great! We were there for about 2.5 hours! There was a lot to see and do. It was beautiful!

The boys are drawing pictures here that you can email to yourself or friends. A lot of our two plus hours was spent here!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The Saturday before Easter we hunted for eggs with friends from church. Lots of fun! We had Easter dinner at Heidi's with lots and lots of people and lots and lots of good food!

Happy Birthday David and Debbie!

Dad, Grandma, and the Birthday Twins!
We celebrated my aunt and uncle's 60th Birthday out in Indio! It seems like family gatherings are getting more spread out the older everyone gets, so I really treasure the times we get together!

On the move...

Charity is now on the move and it is forcing the boys to be more careful as to where they leave their Legos!

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

Hunter is funny.

The other day while Ladd was playing catch with Hunter, Hunter states: "Dad, all you care about is golf." Ladd: "What do you care about?" Hunter: "I care about people."

Today as we were getting out Easter decorations...
Hunter: "That is not an Easter decoration."
Me: "It has a bunny and a carrot, how is that not Eastery?"
Hunter: "Bunnies don't eat carrots these days."

A few days ago Hunter says to me, "You love me the best and Dad loves Tanner the best and that is just the way it is."

Where does he come up with this stuff?
