It finally happened...

Tanner discovered a "wiggly tooth" about three weeks ago and it finally came out! It had gotten to the point where it was barely hanging on, and Ladd told him he couldn't go to bed until it was out. Tanner was so bent on having it come out naturally, so Ladd said he would only wiggle it until it came out. I think there might have been a little pulling involved, but either way it came out!
Tanner was so excited. He chose not to put it under his pillow tonight, so he can show his tooth off to his brother (who missed all the excitement due to an early bedtime!) and all of his friends before the Tooth Fairy adds it to her collection.

As I was putting him to bed tonight, he said he was a little sad that his tooth was out. It was his favorite tooth and he liked wiggling it. I will have to admit I was a little sad too. I remember when this tooth came in! Does an adult tooth mean the first signs that my little baby is turning into an adult? Growing up is hard on parents too!

The Living Desert

A few weekends ago we met up with my cousin, Brenda, and her family at the Living Desert in Palm Desert. Who would have thought a zoo with only desert animals would be so cool! We had a great time and I was thoroughly impressed with the zoo!

Watching the huge Electric Railroad Display

I wouldn't want to cross any of these cats!

Sweet baby Bridgette is an angel!

You gotta have a cactus slide at a desert zoo!

After the Living Desert, we ran a few errands at Ontario Mills (NEVER go there on a Saturday!!) and ate at the boys favorite restaurant, Rain Forest Cafe.
We were all exhausted after a long day but it was a fun "Family Outing!"

California Adventure!

We spent yesterday at California Adventure with Grandma, to use the second half of her "Twofer". It was a beautiful day and only a few lines. Here is a picture recap of our day:

Hunter is on a "ride strike" and will refuse to go on certain rides. So while Grandma and Tanner went on rides, we kept ourselves busy by...
taking a picture with Lightning McQueen
and playing the washboard for the Minin' Forty Niners'.
He took this job quite seriously!

Tanner and Grandma got stuck on Grizzly Rapids due to "technical difficulties". But Tanner didn't mind because it the "Most Awesome Ride Ever!"
We ran into a few bears. One of them thought Hunter's Nemo hat was a real fish and tried to eat it! Luckily he realized it didn't taste that good and we got it back in perfect condition!
Mom does not do spinning rides. It is a good thing Grandma does so the boys wouldn't miss out on the ladybug ride!

Surfin' Safari!
I am so glad we live in sunny California (aside from high taxes and a mismanaged state government)!

Crazy Kid

Yesterday, I came into the family room and saw this...
He was watching an Easter Bunny movie and shooting the "bad guy", which was a mean bunny, with his homemade "guns." The guns were made out of pipes that are supposed to be used for musical instruments. We don't own any toy guns but somehow a wide variety of our toys have turned into guns. He watched about half of the movie like this until he realized helmets are really not all that comfortable.

Hunting for Eggs...

The Easter Bunny came a little early for this cute bunch of kids.

He hid all sorts of eggs all over the park...

which made for some happy kiddos!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter!!

Thursdays

Each semester, we choose one day and put all of our classes on that day. This semester it's Thursdays. I am always exhausted when we get home on Thursdays! We start off with Spanish at my house, then go to Claremont for cooking and art, and end with PE at a park nearby. Not to mention, once a month we meet with Tanner's teacher from the Charter School on Thursdays also! While Tanner is in his classes, Hunter and I either run errands, or play with friends at a park within walking distance from Tanner's classes. It makes for one crazy day, but allows for more free time on the other four school days. Here are some pictures that have been taken on our "Thursdays."
