Trek

Our stake goes on Trek every 4 years and this was our year!  I got to go as a Guardian angel, and Tanner was a regular camper.  It was so fun!  I think all the kids had a great time too.  We worked hard, and it was HOT!, but we grew, learned, and had fun together.  I was so proud of all the kids from our Stake.  They did an amazing job and were so easy to work with!  The future of the Church is in good hands!

Riley's Farm did an excellent job reenacting everything and make it seem as real as possible!

We came home oh so filthy, and tired, but it was so worth it!

Camp Oasis 2018

Tanner had a great time at Camp Oasis this year.  He had a big cabin-11 boys!-but they seemed to make lots of fun memories together!  I am grateful for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation for putting on these Camps to give these kids a well deserved break for a week to forget about their cares and make friends with other kids who deal with similar trials.

Tanner said if he could sum up camp in 2 words:  Fortnight Dances.  He learned some sweet moves...

The Zoo

Before it got too hot, we took a quick trip to the LA Zoo.  Tanner was at Camp Oasis all week, so I wanted to do something fun that the younger kids would enjoy and we have a pass so....

We got to meet and pet this little blue tongue skink...

And pet some goats...

Charity wanted to get lots of poses with her new tiger that we got for free with our membership...

These Monitor lizards are always one of our favorites.  The smaller one has always been very active and we named him Friendly a few years ago.  Here he is climbing up to the bigger one up on top.  We were curious as to what the big one would do when Friendly got up there, but he just let Friendly climb over him, then Friendly climbed back down the other side!

Playing on some awesome tree roots...

It was a fun day at the Zoo!

Sea World

Since my mom is a teacher, she gets free tickets to Sea World.  We took advantage of them and had a great time!

We let the kids go on the few rides they have first.  There was no wait for anything!  Charity was a little disappointed she couldn't go on the big roller coasters, but she ended up having fun on the little kids rides!

We loved the shows, especially the night time circus show on the water.  It was amazing and worth staying til way past bedtime to see it!  Sea World isn't the same as it was when I was a kid, no more swimming with killer whales, but it is still cool to see them.  I heard Sea World is not going to breed the Orcas anymore, so eventually they won't have them anymore.  That will certainly change Sea World, it will be interesting to see what comes of it!

Tanner was on the lookout to purchase new shades...

Felicity loved watching the orcas swim around in the tank.  We watched them forever.  Anytime the whale would swim away, she would ask "More, More?"  She really enjoyed herself!  So much she wore herself our, eventually!

Thanks Mom for the fun day!

Summer Fun!!

Beach Trip with B and H family!  I ran in to one of my favorite people, Natalie, that day too.  Her family was camped out right next to ours at the beach.  So fun to see her and catch up!

Boys "Late Night" Party!  Video games, laser gun fights, trampoline, S'mores, what more could you ask for?

Nonstop Mischief...

Baptisms at the Temple with Friends...

Spending some playdates with some of our favorite friends before they move...

Just like her dada, Felicity's cheeks get bright red when its warm!

Angels date night with Grandma...

As part of her birthday present, Grandma took Charity to the Sawdust Factory.  She made this cute castle for her little Tiger.

It's been a pretty good summer so far, I can't believe it's already half way over!
