Honoring Monica

At both my grandma and grandpa's funerals, Monica organized all of us to write notes to our grandparents and fold them into paper cranes.  She explained that the tradition was that the crane, which represents peace, helps carry the spirit to Heaven.  We knew we wanted to do this for Monica.  So, we got together at Kathy's house to make our cranes.  The kids did a great job and all wrote something meaningful.

We also swam and had some fun.  It's so nice to be with cousins!

Alisal

We've been wanting to go to a "dude ranch" type place for years.  We finally made it happen! We spent a couple nights at Alisal Ranch just near Solvang.  We started our trip off with a beautiful 2 hours horse ride through the ranch...

There was a fancy dinner night, which was delicious!  And a BBQ night with dancing-so fun!

One morning, we took a hayride to a big pancake breakfast.

These kids swam, and swam!

We hiked...

And got up close and personal to so many cute farm animals...

We attempted some fishing on the lake, but decided our family may not be cut out for fishing, but got a lot of laughs in anyways.  Alisal did not disappoint!!

On the way home, we swung by the Regan ranch.  This is the view from their front gate...

Tanner did lots of push up on this trip...

This is the gate to the ranch...

Since Felicity was too young for the horseback riding, she stayed home with Granda to water the plants!

Finally, Prom!

Since Junior year Prom was cancelled due to Covid, and Senior year there was no official prom, the Howells hosted an amazing prom in their beautiful backyard!  Tanner and Victoria had a great time!
