Girls Trip!

We took our annual Hoyal girls trip!  It was a quick trip, but so much fun.  It is nice to be able to talk without getting interrupted by kids for a few days! We ate, got nails done, shopped, ate some more, and saw Blue Man Group.

Can't wait til next year…

The show was seriously so funny.  It reminded me of things my crazy high school friends would do.

Russia

We met together with our school group to jump start our study of Russia.  We did some Russian dancing...

And learned a little bit about the great gymnasts of Russia and pretended to be them!

We also ate some yummy Russian food and met Yuliya, a sister in our ward who is from the Ukraine.  She shared a lot of information and now we are inspired to learn all about that part of the world!

BRAZIL

Kathy and Leto were SO NICE to take a day from their vacation and teach our school group about Brazil.  We learned so much and everyone had a great time!

Look at this cute fruit tray Kathy made to look like Brazilian flag...

 And a veggie tray...

And lots of other treats straight from Brazil...

Everyone brought a Brazilian dish and let me tell you, I don't think I would mind eating Brazilian everyday!

The Depintors shared lots of information and the kids had lots of questions!

Leto taught the older kids how to make kites.  He grew up making them and kite flying is very popular in Brazil!
The younger kids made Brazilian rain sticks with Kathy.  You can see a few of them in our group picture!

Thank you so much Kathy and Leto!  You are awesome!

Catch up time!

I just unloaded my pictures onto the computer and realized I am way behind on my blog!  Here are some things that kept us busy after Christmas...

The day after Christmas, we headed to Disneyland to purchase and use our new passes!  It was crazy crowded so we didn't stay long, but now we can go back anytime (well, as long as it is not a blackout day!)

We dog sat for the Andersens.  My kids love Penny!  Glad to have her stay for a few days, but I was happy to send her home!

Miss Thang got a hair cut.  So cute and I am so happy not to have her wild hair as abundant anymore!

Ladd and I took my dad, sister, and Grandma out to the Candlelight Pavillion a few days after Christmas.  It was a cute show and was a really fun day!

We partied with cousins!  Charity was loving the jump house and her hair was quite electric the whole time!

We celebrated my Grandma's 89th birthday!  I hope I look and feel as good as her at that age! Here she is with ALL her great grandchildren, and a granddaughter :)

Happy New Year!

We rang in 2015 with our annual Big Bear trip with the Bishops.  There was a ton of snow-we had to use chains to get up the mountain!  We had a great time!

*Tan was there too, but wasn't feeling well and didn't spend too much time in the snow.  We didn't get any pics of him :(

Happy 2015 to all of my blog followers!  Thanks, you two!
