A Quarentine Easter Story...

I tried to make Easter week a little special for the kids.  Between the constant rain and the Shelter at Home order, we were feeling a little crazy!  Here are a few of the fun things we managed Easter week...

Decorating Easter cookies (we do it at Christmas, why not Easter?)

Ladd's Creation...

Dying Easter Eggs...  I haven't done this for years, because they just don't get eaten!  But I figured this would be a good year to bring it back!

The rain finally cleared up for a day and we needed to get out of the house! So, the Saturday before Easter, we headed to Mormon Rocks for a hike and little drive to get out of the house!  It was a much needed retreat and so nice to be in the sun!  Even if we had to wear masks when we were anywhere near anyone else hiking!

We got really close to a train as it passed by...

On Easter morning, we had a nice at home, family church service, breakfast, and the kids found their Easter baskets.  My mom came over for dinner-first time we had spent time with her since mid March- and then we had a high energy, inside (because it was pouring rain outside) egg hunt.  Not going to church, and not having spring-like weather, made for a very weird Easter.  But, it was so nice to spend time with my mom and feel a little more normal!

Hope you all had a Happy Quarentine Easter!
