We started off our new year of school! Hunter is a junior, Charity in 7th grade, and Felicity in 2nd grade. Our theme is "Dream It, Do It, Be It". It basically involves working around the kids interests to help them become the best person they can be! We had a fun weekend planned with our school group at a rental house in St George doing all sorts of fun projects helping us to create goals and experiment with different activities. On the drive up there, we found out we had previously been in contact with people who had Covid, and Felicity wasn't feeling that great, so we decided to do our own thing once we got to St George instead of possibly spreading germs in the rental house. We were so sad to miss our friends and all the fun activities planned, but we ended up having some outdoor fun as a family.
We visited Zion's National Park (Hunter did get to do the Narrows hike with friends), eat snow cones, and go jet skiing and play on a lake playground at Quail Creek. There is not much better than jet skiing on a beautiful day, so even though things didn't go as planned, it all worked out and we had a great time, even though I'm sorely missing good pictures of our makeshift trip!
It will be a great year! The girls and I are looking forward to learning about managing money, sports (gymnastics really!), cooking, family history, inventors, and nature.
