Yosemite!

We ended our school year with a trip to Yosemite!  What a great way to celebrate this beautiful state that we have learned so much about this year!  We spent two days in Yosemite and I could have spent the whole week and still not seen everything I wanted to.  It is such an awe-inspiring place and I am already planning a return trip sometime...

 Covered Bridge

Sitting on the steps of the Wawona Hotel-second oldest hotel in CA

The air-conditioned shuttle was always a nice little break from the hikes and heat!

A giant Sequoia we could walk under!

We found an informative Museum about Yosemite where everyone got their picture in this little rock cave...
Lindsay was so cute with Charity all week.  I think Charity was happy to have another little girl around too!

Audrey posing with John Muir!  And thanks to Audrey for babysitting 11 kids while the parents got to go out to dinner on our last night!  She is awesome!

A deer came right through the Indian village!

What a beautiful place to stop and play in the freezing cold river!

All the kids were quite troopers on this hike to see these waterfalls!

Thanks to my "sleepy wrap"  Charity took a few good naps during the hikes!

 Breathtaking!

On the third day, we rented a Platoon boat and tube and took to Bass Lake.  I am pretty sure this was the kids (and dads) favorite part of the trip!  There were 19 of us, and only 16 were allowed on the boat, so we switched off boating and beaching.

The boat...

The Terrific Three- Bradley, Tanner, and Dallin.  Tanner was gripping on for dear life every time he got to tube-but he loved it nonetheless!
This little one loved the boat but was not about to get on that tube!

The beach...

These Three Musketeers (Hunter, Spencer, and Tyler) loved swimming in the lake!

Here is half of the Daring Duet (Andrew and Charity) who both loved the sand!

What a fun adventure that I am sure the kids will remember for a long time!
