Testing, and a Cute Baby

Felicity is 16 months now, growing too fast and melting our hearts everyday!  She toddles around the house all day, loves to be outside, try new foods, and follow her siblings around when they are running around.  We are STILL working on the sleeping through the night thing, so it is a good thing she is so cute!  But, she loves to nap and cuddle.
This is one of her favorite moves... Down Dog anyone?

Loves to feed herself, always making a mess!

Doing "school" like her sister...

Usually happy when she wakes up from a nap...

This handsome man has spent a lot of time at Kaiser recently...
His disease and symptoms are not progressing as we would have hoped.  In fact, its' progressing in the opposite direction. This is very frustrating since we have spent so much time, money, and effort trying to heal his gut in the past 3 years.  He has been so diligent with his diet and supplements, and yet the disease is now in his small intestine too, and his colon has NO healthy tissue.  He took a colonoscopy and endoscopy earlier this month...

Because of what the doctor found there, he ordered a PillCam test.  Tan had to swallow a giant pill with a blinking light-which felt a little odd- and wear this contraption for 12 hours.  It took pictures of his digestive tract.  All of these tests took time, and we spent everyday at the doctor for a whole week.

Both Tanner and I are coming to terms with what the future holds for him- a life changing surgery.  We are meeting with a surgeon soon and will talk more about it here later.  For now, we are trying to be grateful for the positive things in our life, like the beautiful rainbow we saw one day while driving to the doctors office...

Well, that certainly is a cute baby! My heart aches for Tanner but I am so impressed with all he does in the face of all of his struggles. He truly is a hero! Love, Grandma
