We learned about the nomads and early humans. You can't adequately cover that topic without visiting La Brea Tar pits. Such an interesting place!

We went on a tour and learned so much. Our tour guide was knowledgable and great with kids!
To avoid traffic, we headed over to the Griffith Observatory after the tar pits. I seriously need to find some other free things to do at night in LA- we always end up at the observatory to beat the traffic.
Felicity was so good on this field trip but was more than happy to get out of the stroller for awhile to toddle around on the observatory grounds...

Along with our field trip, and reading some great books about the prehistoric times, we did cave paintings with the B family. They turned out so cute and I am always so happy to have these wonderful kids in my home!
