Southern UT/ Shakespeare Festival

Tanner participated in his online school's Shakespeare Festival Competition.  The UT Shakespeare Festival hosts a high school competition each year and this was the first year Tanner's school competed.  He got to stay in a cool Shakespearian house, with his team for the week as they prepared for the competition, went to classes, and had a great time.

Here are the kids that were in his original Shakespeare group from years ago, now competing together in high school!

They invited parents to come watch their dress rehearsal.  Here is Tanner and Abby in the Lovers Quarrel scene from MidSummer's Night Dream...

And the awesome group of boys that Tanner had a great time with all week...

While Tanner was off having fun, we made the best of our trip too!

We rented a house with the C and H families and had so much fun exploring Southern UT!  The kids loved being with friends for the week and so did I!

Visiting a state park near St George...

There was a lava tube cave at this state park.  It was so cool but we only let the big boys go in because it looked a little treacherous...

Visiting Petroglyphs...

While driving through the desert for miles and miles, the boys decided to get out and run.  It was pretty entertaining to us who were watching from the car...

Mining for Gypsum at Glitter Mountain...

Felicity was in heaven getting to play with Hailey all week.  I don't know if Hailey felt the same.  Felicity can be a little rough with little ones. Oh, she keeps me on my toes constantly!

I think these kiddos got to watch a movie every night, while the moms got to talk (almost) uninterrpupted!

Saturday these 2 turned 12!  Birthday Twins!

Watermelon cake!

Ladd drove up for the weekend.  The dads took the "big boys" to a nearby family history convention where this Vidangel comedian was speaking.  Hunter loves watching comedians on Vidangel, so it was a fun outing for Hunter!

We also did a lot of swimming this week...

and the older boys got to go fishing on their birthday.

I love when any number of these Band of Brothers get together.  It is non stop fun for them the whole time.  They just enter their boy world and nothing else seems to matter...

We finally got the big kids late Saturday night...
They were exhausted but had a great week!

I was really stressed out getting ready for this trip, and taking the time off of our regular routine in the middle of a school semester.  But, as usual, it was so worth it and so many great memories were made!
