One Year Update

Charity went in for her one year check up this week (almost 2 months after her birthday- Oops!).  She is 17 lbs and 3.5 oz and is 28 inches long.  Tiny!  She took 3 steps for the first time yesterday and was thrilled with herself.  I am sure she will be running around with her brothers by the end of the month.  She has gotten quite vocal!  Babbling and pointing all the time.  There are a few words that we actually understand though:  Da-ee (daddy), Bir-ee (birdy), ba (ball), mum-mum (food), Do-ee (dolly), and Ta-ee (Tanner).  She likes to play with our Little People sets or "Littleville" as the boys call it, especially if the boys play it with her.  She loves her do-ees and gives them hugs and kisses whenever she gets ahold of one.  She likes to play night-night baby where she lays down on something soft, I say "Oh, night-night baby" and then she laughs.  We are still waiting for her hair to grow!  She sleeps from about 8pm-6am and then takes a two hour nap during the day.  We call her Bu-bus, although no one outside of our immediate family seems to think that is an appropriate name for such a skinny little thing, but nonetheless, she is our Bu-bus girl and we love her so much!

If this isn't a Ladd face, I don't know what is!

Yes, that definitely is a Ladd face. Love that sweet Charity or Bu-bus or whatever brings out that precious smile. Can't wait to see her walking! Love, Grandma
