Philadelphia

We made it to the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia!

Historic Philadelphia
We started out at Constitution Center and saw a great multi-media presentation.  Then there was a great hands on museum about the Constitution, where no photographs were allowed.  :(  We could take pictures in the statue gallery though.  There were statues of all the signers of the Constitution.  Pretty cool!
Benjamin Franklin
James Madison
Here we are in the Constitution Center with Independence Hall in the background.  I really like Constitution Center!

Taking an audio tour of the Betsy Ross house...

Benjamin Franklins grave.  I was surprised at how it was just a slab of cement in the ground with his name and there huge monuments dedicated to him around the rest of the city.
The Liberty Bell.  Charity was disappointed that she didn't get to hear it ring.

Inside Independence Hall.  This is where it all actually happened!
This little monkey did a good job holding our tickets and keeping them safe.  Not such a good job listening quietly to the guide taking us through Independence Hall!

Future Voters in front of Independence Hall…  Let's hope they are learning to vote to protect the Constitution on this trip!

On our way to the car, we saw Rocky Balboa and had to snap a pic with him in Philly!  It's the eye of the tiger!  I wanted to go run up the stairs of the art museum, but figured it just wouldn't be the same without the music!

Franklin Institute for Science
Our second day in Philadelphia we visited the Franklin Institute for Science.  It was a really neat museum with a lot of fun hands on exhibits.  I was a little disappointed in how it was kept up though.  Probably the dirtiest museum I have ever been to. So sad!
 Learning how steam engines work..
 She is multiplying!
The boys enjoyed the space area and loved doing all the computer games available there.
Benjamin Franklin Memorial.  There were quotes of his being projected around the walls of this statue.  It was very inspiring!
