We decided to cover Europe very briefly this year. We wanted more time to get to other countries that we may not encounter as often in future school years. So, the last 2 weeks has been a whirlwind of Europe! We also focused on learning some basic world geography and mapping skills. We went to the park with the B Family and drew a large scale map of the world. I think the kids did a great job and it turned out pretty good!
Here are a few of our European adventures this past week…
We went to "Crepes de Paris" to try some French food. The kids loved their crepes! Who wouldn't?
We made a few European flags out of Legos (which are made in Denmark!)…

Friday we had our closing day with our school group. This year kids will choose a speciality, something they want to become an expert about from each country. We did a family presentation this time and the boys were toy specialists from Denmark! They each taught a little about the founding of the Lego company in Denmark. We chose volunteers to come up and build the Danish flag out of Legos. It was a short and sweet presentation, but now all the kids will remember Legos are from Denmark!
I loved this cute family that presented on Irish dance. So cute. Can't wait to see Eliza in Riverdance someday!
Charity loves to have other girls to play with at these school events!
Here is our smorgasbord of European food! Lots of carbs from white bread! Very yummy, but I had a tummy ache after! Even the punch was an authentic Fruit Compote from some European country!
Now we are off to New Zealand...
