Summer Update

I haven't posted for over a month!  A lot has happened.  We decided to put our house up for sale!  We've been talking about it for a long time and finally made the jump.  This house kind of picked us, and it's been a blessing over the years, but is not a house that we would have picked.  We decided its time to get into a house we actually like.  So, after 2 long weeks of nothing but cleaning, fixing, and packing, we got it on the market.  The house looks great, but we have yet to have even an offer.  Lots of lookers though, we usually have one showing a day.  I really don't want to move all my stuff back in here, so hopefully someone will buy it, and we can get into something a little more suited to our needs/wants.  Here are the pictures we posted to help sell it, I want to keep them so if we move we have pictures of the house we lived in for over a decade!

Aside from that, here are a couple other things we've been up to:

Tanner went to scout camp for the first time!  He had a great time!  I sent him with food for the week and he felt great all week!
His scout leader texted me this picture while he was up there.  Apparently he was not afraid to let his true goofball side shine while at camp!  No surprise there!
He was sooooo tired when he got home.  Took a 4 hour nap-and Tan does not take naps usually!
While he was gone, we had a few tea parties with friends...
Went to the zoo with Grandma...
And made a few "illegal" treats, like these chocolate oatmeal cookies!

After camp, Tanner entered the world of braces.  He has done really well dealing with the pain and taking good care of these new little beauties!

Charity has joined her brothers at the gym and has been taking a kinder-gym class.  She loves it!  This fearless, strong, petite little thing was built for gymnastics!

On one of our many trips to the Home Depot in the last month, we found this Coke bottle with Tanner's name on it…  We did not buy it and drink it!  Soda is gross in so many ways, but still fun to find your name on it!

Once our house was finally clean and almost as good as new, I have made a goal to try to stay out of it as much as possible.  It can't get messy if we are not there!

For Tanner's birthday, our good friends the "V" family gave him a trip to the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.  So, we met up with them there and had a great day!

We've also spent a lot of time at Grandma Heidi's swimming...

and jumping...

Yesterday I took the kids to the Alf Paleontology Museum in Claremont.  We had a nice afternoon there learning about dinosaurs and fossils.

So, as usual, our "let's not plan much this summer" summer has been busy!
