Space Science

We have been learning about Astronomy.  Such a fun subject- I think we could cover this every year!  We took the kids on a field trip to the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, then topped off the day at Griffith Observatory.  Both great, free field trips.  Go if you haven't gone before!  

From the video, to the museum, to the "Center of the Universe" room, to the tour guide, the whole tour at JPL was amazing!  This was our family's second time, but I was glad that we could bring some friends along this time!

Everyones favorite part was the "Clean Room" where we got to watch the actual Mars Rover being put together!

The museum was cool too...

A Beautiful Day for Griffith's Observatory....

We don't get to do quite as many fun learning adventures like this now that we have a crazy, busy high school schedule to deal with.  But, I sure love days when I get to take my kiddos and explore this wonderful wonderful world, or in this case universe, that we live in!
