End of the Year Fun

Camping

When the C Family come down, we are always kept busy and have lots of fun!  We went camping with our school group.  It was probably my favorite camping trip our family has gone on.  The kids are old enough to help, and I don't have to watch Charity every step she takes anymore!  It was so fun to celebrate our school year with all these amazing people!

Good Friends

So grateful my kids have all these great boys to grow up with, whether they are near of far!  We took this after stake conference on Sunday. 

Trip To LA

We took the older kids in our school group to the LA temple.  This was Tanner's first time doing baptisms for the dead.  It was a great experience for him.  We had to wait awhile for the priesthood and they had the temple president come speak to our little group.  After we did baptisms, we went to the cafeteria and the kids thought that was pretty neat.

After the temple, we went to Union Station where we started an Urban Quest-basically a scavenger hunt around the city.  This lead to a group of crazy moms and kids getting lost around the city, figuring out how to do the LA Metro, and lots of laughs and not finishing the Quest in the end!  I somehow ended up with 6 boys in my car and was quite entertained by the randomness of the conversations.

We were trying to find the rest of our group and were wondering around Union Station.  It was packed with people from all walks of life so I told the boys to stick together, this is how they chose to do that…

 We ended the night with a fun dinner at Islands.  Nothing went as planned on this trip, but it made for more laughs and was fun to get away with just the older kids!  We didn't get home til 12:30am!

So, it is time to put another school year in the books.  I didn't do an Open House this year, as our end of the year activities were already pretty overwhelming.  Although this school year was quite a balancing act for me with keeping up withTanner's new diet, going to many doctors appointments, and figuring out how to work out Williamsburg Intermediate classes and assignments into our school day, I learned a lot and hope to make next year a little smoother!  The kids had many great experiences and got a little taste of countries from around the world.  Now, we are ready to relax and enjoy some time off this summer!
