The BAR

The time has finally come for Ladd to take the California State Bar Exam. This is just a little quiz that tests all he learned in the past three years. He will spend six hours Tuesday writing essays, six hours Wednesday answering multiple choice questions, and then another six hours on Thursday writing essays. My brain just hurts thinking about it! The CA bar is certainly one of the hardest in the nation. It is one whole day longer than most other states. Ladd has studied more than ten hours a day for the last two months and his percent of passing is still only 60%. You either pass or fail, there is no in between. And, if you want to practice law in CA, you have to pass it! The worst part of this test is that we will not find out if Ladd passed until the end of November! So, we will basically be in a state of limbo between now and Thanksgiving!
Ladd has worked so hard and I know he will do great! I am very proud of him and very glad that this week is finally here and will soon be over!
