Making Music

We took a tour of the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad this week.  Ladd happened to have a deposition in San Diego that day so it worked out nicely.  He dropped us off at the museum and then went to his depo.  I love it when things work out like that!

The Museum was fun.  It was a small place, but they broke our group up into little ones and big ones and we each had an entertaining and knowledgable tour guide so we got a lot out of this little place!

We learned about all sorts of instruments...

And even got to play some!

Tanner loved the electric guitar and I wish you could see Hunter's face while playing those drums-he is beaming!  I was really trying to push a nice calm instrument like the harp, but to no avail!  Of course my boys are drawn to the LOUD music makers!

We ended up finishing awhile before Ladd, but lucky us, Legoland just happened to be literally around the corner from the Museum!  So, the kids and I just walked over there to see what we could see (for free).  There actually is quite a bit to see in the Legoland parking lot when you are with two Lego maniacs!

Our new friends, Lego mom and baby
 and Lego-Hunter-look-alike!

We ended our trip to the boys favorite "restaurant"- In-N-Out.  Making loud noise music, Legoland Parking lot, and In-N-Out, what else could a boy ask for?
