Gross Anatomy

We did a short unit on anatomy to go along with our study of Leondardo da Vinci.

We learned about bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons by making a model arm...

We also learned about our lungs and respiratory system by making a model showing how the lungs and diaphragm work together....

We culminated our week with a trip to the Science Museum in San Diego because they had a Grossology exhibit.  We spent a week in Escondido, so driving to San Diego wasn't too far!   The exhibit wasn't really that great...

but the rest of the Museum was really fun.

My favorite part of the day was walking around Balboa Park and just enjoying a beautiful, relaxing day with my favorite little people!
